What computer systems do you support?

What can you help me with?

Do you do hardware repairs?

Do I always have to pay you to come out? What if it's something simple I could do myself?

How important is securing my wireless network?

What computer systems do you support?
PCs running Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Macs running OS 9 or OS X. I can also help with Windows Mobile phones/PDAs and Apple iPhones/iPods.

What can you help me with?
It's a very long list, including (but not limited to): wired or wireless network installs, software installs, backup solutions, hardware upgrades, computer running slow or won't start, virus and spyware removal and protection, purchasing advice, network problems, broadband advice including hardware installation, switching from PC to Mac (or vice versa!), software tuition...you name it! If I can't do something, I'll be upfront. Call or email to find out more.

Do you do hardware repairs?
I can perform basic hardware diagnostics and maintenance on desktop or tower PCs. Laptops and some Macs tend to be harder to repair as they contain proprietary parts, but call and I'll let you know if I can help.

Do I always have to pay for you to come out? What if it's something simple I could do myself?
If it sounds like something could be achieved easily I will try to solve it over the phone (at no charge).

How important is securing my wireless network?
Very important. Some of the older versions of wireless security are very easy for people to defeat, giving them access to your network, and all the files on all your PCs. It's important to have the strongest security possible while allowing all of your devices to connect.

If I can't fix your computer problem, or come up with a solution, then there's nothing to pay!
